The closest large village is the historic market town of Villaviciosa, only 10 minutes away with bars, shops, restaurants and supermarket. Also close to the coast, and the lovely Rodiles beach, and close to the marina of El Puntal and village of Tazones with many seafood restaurants. Villaviciosa sits on a river delta with many types of birds from all over the world.

This part of Asturias benefits from a number of excellent restaurants, such as Michelin starred Casa Marcial. Also the Parque Nacional de Picos de Europa, Sueve, and Redes mountain ranges are less than an hour away.

The vibrant historic towns of  OviedoAvilés and Gijón  are half an hour away, with airports of Ranón (Asturias) 70 kilometres and  Santander 150 kilometres.
