La casería Quintana Villaverde, which means traditional house with ‘hórreo’ – raised wooden barn, is a typical Asturian house, of 450 square metres with balcony and covered porch. This large house has 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, 5 of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, a large hall, a beautiful living room with fireplace, kitchen/dining area and pantry. It has a capacity for up to fourteen people. The house is south facing, and has direct access to a large terrace. Whilst it has been operating as a small hotel, it would also work perfectly well as private house.
It has thick stone walls and chestnut beams, and is surrounded by a lovely garden. The building consists of a main house and an independent apartment. It has been completely refurbished but preserving its original architecture. The apartment, with its own entrance, has 2 floors. On the ground floor there is a living room with an open kitchen. On the first floor there are 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, 1 en-suite. There is a parking area for 10 vehicles.
Typical Asturian farmhouse with 10 hectares/100,000 square metres of grazing land (85%), and hills and forest (15%). The property has two different accesses, both of which are asphalted. It has a 360 square metre livestock barn. On the estate, there is an hórreo (traditional stable), a llagar (cider barn) and a beautiful garden, with a river nearby, and a tendejón – a outside covered space.

The closest large village is the historic market town of Villaviciosa, only 10 minutes away with bars, shops, restaurants and supermarket. Also close to the coast, and the lovely Rodiles beach, and close to the marina of El Puntal and village of Tazones with many seafood restaurants. Villaviciosa sits on a river delta with many types of birds from all over the world.
This part of Asturias benefits from a number of excellent restaurants, such as Michelin starred Casa Marcial. Also the Parque Nacional de Picos de Europa, Sueve, and Redes mountain ranges are less than an hour away.
